This Privacy Policy explains how faivandy.com collects, uses, and protects information when you visit the site, join the reader list, or contact Fai Vandy.

Information you provide

When you join the reader list or ask to receive updates about a book, the site collects your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name. The site also records when and where you subscribed so your consent can be documented. If you submit a book club request or a private Reader Room note, the information you enter is stored so Fai can respond or review it. If you contact Fai by email, the message and contact information you send are also received.

Technical information

The site is built and hosted with Base44. Base44 and related infrastructure providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an internet protocol address, browser type, device information, request time, analytics events, and error logs. The Reader Room uses local browser storage to remember an anonymous visitor key so a browser does not vote repeatedly in the same poll. Session recording may be used to understand site usability and diagnose problems. The site does not intentionally use advertising cookies.

How information is used

• To send book news, release updates, and other messages you requested.

• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website and Reader Room.

Reader list information is kept while you remain subscribed or while it is reasonably needed for the purpose described above. Reader Room submissions and book club requests are kept only as long as reasonably useful for moderation, response, or site operations. You may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information you submitted. You may also unsubscribe from promotional email at any time.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child submitted information, please contact Fai so it can be removed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the site or its services change. The date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision.
